CHILDREN'S ROOMS!
It's Annie's room!
Every Friday Kelly from Kelly's Korner picks a room for bloggers to share. Since this blog of mine is new, I decided to jump in and participate. For those of you that are new visitors, you will notice that this blog is brand new. You can learn a little more about the munchkin that lives in this room, Annie along with her big sister Meagan here.
This is the view standing in the door. Annie's room is large and odd shaped. She lives upstairs, the ceilings are slanted there are a few nooks and crannies in her room and she has 2 closets. It isn't the ideal layout, but it's interesting.
This is the little sign hanging above her dresser. I picked it up at Hobby Lobby.
The top of her dresser holds her CD player, a small lamp that has never been turned on and a "Magnifique" thingy from Hobby Lobby.
This is one of the cut outs. There is one dresser next to that IKEA chair that is the home to our Christmas tree, decorations, and other junk that we don't use very often. The other closet is directly across from the one pictured. Next to her closet hanging on the wall is a barrette holder that I made. I covered a wood star with Mod Podge and scrap book paper, attached a ribbon to the back and added another smaller star at the bottom for weight. Presto!
Here is the other closet. This is where we keeps Annie's clothes and other stuff that we use on a regular basis. I didn't think to open the closets for a picture, but they are very deep. The downside is that the ceilings are sloped. It makes it hard to store a lot of big bulky stuff.
Annie's crib. I love this crib. Grandma bought it for her from Overstock. It is a very sturdy piece of furniture. It converts to a toddler bed, but we are in no hurry to do that any time soon. I didn't take a close up of her bedding but it's lavender, pink and green. It has a mixed floral and gingham print. I'm noticing that her crib dust ruffle is messed up and you'll notice that her bumper pads are still on. Apparently we aren't supposed to be using them, but we are. I promise to take them out once I convert her bed. :) Ignore the Easter basket next to Annie's bed. That is the holder of the pluggies (Nuks). That is where the pluggies are supposed to live while Annie isn't in bed.
I made this wall hanging thing shortly after Annie was born. I bought unpainted squares at Michael's and cover scrapbook paper with Mod Podge. I attached them all to a foam board that could hang on the wall. I think it turned out cute and it goes with her room. I love Mod Podge projects. Oh yeah, it isn't hanging crooked on the wall,
Another purchase from Hobby Lobby that hangs on the wall to the left of the dresser.
I saw this dress form at TJ Maxx and had to have it. I had been eyeing one at PBKids but I couldn't pass up the $10 price tag on this one. Henrietta the piggy bank was Meagan's pick. I've been looking for a place to store Annie's tutu for a while this afternoon while looking around, I finally found the perfect place.
